YOU WERE A CHILD FULL OF RAGE AND VIOLENCE.
As a boy you knew only hatred and pain. Your father abandoned you. Your mother loved her drugs more than she loved you. Her dealer despised you perhaps most of all. You did what you had to in order to survive.
You grew tough skin and hardened your heart. Your actions were led by instinct. Your logic was stifled by your anger. Anyone who spoke to you wrong, looked at you wrong, so much as laid a finger on you – they were all potential threats. It was no way for a child to live.
For a time you harnessed it. Your mentor taught you how to use it to bring JUSTICE to the city that had wronged you before you’d even taken your first breath. You thought MAYBE there was something good in you. You thought MAYBE you could bring something good to the world.
YOU THOUGHT MAYBE YOU COULD MAKE SOMETHING GOOD OF YOUR LIFE.
YOU WERE WRONG.
